I’m Lauren, and I’m so glad that you found me here at Room of Inspo!

Born and raised in NYC, I now live outside the city with my husband, two kids, and one cat. I’ve always been interested in interior design, but it became a true passion when I transformed my first small apartment into a home that was both budget-friendly and cozy.

Since then, I’ve lived in 6 homes across different states and gained firsthand experience in creating warm, welcoming, and stylish spaces for families to call home.

As a self-taught decorator, developing my design skills didn’t happen overnight. I’ve picked up countless tips, tricks, and lessons while decorating my own homes, helping friends and family style their spaces, and learning through online courses, books, magazines, and countless home decor websites.

I believe that anyone can design a home they love, no matter their budget or space. That’s why on this blog, you’ll find interior design inspiration, home styling tips, and decorating ideas to help you create a space that feels like you.

While I personally love mixing boho and minimalist styles, you’ll find everything from bold color experiments to cozy, layered spaces. No two rooms in my home look the same!

Here’s a little bit more about me:

Coffee Obsessed

I’m never far from a coffee cup. I love iced caramel lattes in the summer and warm chai lattes in the winter are my go-tos.

Furry Supervisor

My cat, Willow, is the real queen of the house. She thinks every new throw pillow is hers and has a habit of supervising all my decor projects from the comfiest seat in the room.

Layers Obsessed

I believe that throws, cushions, and rugs are the secret to making any space feel instantly cozy. I can’t get enough of them!

Plant Rookie

I’m trying my best with houseplants, though my husband is definitely the better plant keeper. So far, the pothos and snake plant are thriving (but let’s not talk about the fiddle-leaf fig).

Color Lover

While I love a neutral palette, I’m experimenting with bolder colors in my house; like my hallway ceiling, which is now a stunning navy blue.

Travel Goals

Visiting every major design capital is my dream. I’ve checked off places like Copenhagen and Tokyo, but there’s still plenty more to go (though it’s harder with two kids in tow!).
